Because I have to change primary care physicians because I moved 50 mi away from mine I called in. I explained this to the receptionist and she went on to give me the number for the 411 line. I had to reiterate that I do not want to see that doctor I can no longer see that doctor because I'm 50 miles away. I was trying to explain to her my needs mental health, addiction services, traumatic brain injury, etc. She then asked me who would I like to see. I have no idea who I would like to see that's why I'm calling. I don't know she just was not very helpful at all.

I haven't even visited this medical office (3830 Atlantic Ave) yet to give a opinion of the doctors. My experience was over the phone to confirm if my medical records were there due office relocating. When I called the office the receptionist identified the office name and ask me to hold on. She returned to phone and abruptly asked me to hold again while talking to someone in background and then put me on hold again. She returned to me again, I explained I wanted to confirm that my medical records were there. She spoke quickly and seem like she was in a rush. Her responds was, your records follow you where ever you go. Not quite sure of what she meant, I asked, do you mean all my records are in computer system, she stated yes and hung up. Unprofessional tone, no telephone answering skills, didn't identify herself. No disrespect to the doctors at this office but if she is representing their office it makes me question what kind of medical service I would receive, so I won't be using this office for my medical care.

I called back to reschedule an appointment with a different provider and was met by Madeline T. with enough questioning as to why, that made me feel as though I had offended her somehow. I was told that had I "done my research like everyone else that I would understand that APN's and MD's are the same thing." This wasn't the crux of my decision to switch appointments, but I reiterated for the third time I would simply like to switch providers and asked who would have the soonest appointment available. "They're the same....." after a long pause I asked "when is that"? After nearly two minutes of her checking when "the same" would be I asked if I had "done something to wrong"? and she told me I could "speak to someone else" if I wanted to and immediately placed me on a 10 minute hold. When another staff member came on the phone, I was able to make another appointment for 2 months out within 3 days of my first appointment. The question remains; do I even want to go there?
